De Rotterdammer #10
“Stad in Beweging” by Jorik Seykens
As the cyclist speeds past the Erasmus Bridge, the city races past: a blur of modern architecture, the flowing river and the energy of Rotterdam in motion. Inspired by Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado, my illustration reflects the power and grace of cycling, deeply woven into the spirit of the city. The red cycle path points the way and symbolizes movement, progress and the ever-evolving heartbeat of Rotterdam.
Jorik Seykens is a Belgian illustrator who completed his Masters in Graphic Storytelling at Luca School of Arts Brussels in 2015. He mainly focuses on live drawing and cycling-inspired art.
