"De Openingsavond" by Enric Adell

The International Film Festival of Rotterdam is a must in the city’s event calendar. I always loved the simplicity of the iconic tiger logo and I thought it would be fun to create a bunch of characters inspired by it. I started to play around with the proportions and elements of the logo to create all the different tigers, giving them personality while still reading as coming from the original. They are all sitting in a theatre (where else?) about to enjoy a film.

Enric Adell is a graphic designer and illustrator from Barcelona, established in Rotterdam since 2019. He combines his work as the Art Director of magazines Rouleur, Volata and Pickpocket with freelance illustration and design jobs.
