Niet lullen, kom gezellig naar de mart!

“I live just around the corner from Noordplein, so you’ll often find me at Rotterdamse Oogst on Saturdays. Sometimes I meet friends there, sometimes I just wander past my favourite stalls and treat myself something delicious. And every now and then, I take Luke for a walk around the market. During the pandemic, the market took on an even deeper meaning for me. Of course, it was about supporting local farmers and makers, but it was also about taking care of yourself. Stopping for a chat, seeing familiar faces, and feeling part of the community again. At that time, that often felt just as important as doing the shopping. If you’re looking for me at the market, start with my favourite stalls. Chances are you’ll find me there or somewhere nearby, enjoying the live music.“

Gozde Eyce is a Rotterdam-based visual artist. Her work features relatable illustrations driven by a passion for sustainability, social equity, kindness, and diversity. Imperfection is her muse. When she’s not drawing, she’s walking Luke, teaching yoga, or eating ramen at her favorite spot.
